Learners from thirteen Regions were represented. As required by convention, all children MPs were sworn in by the Secretary of the National Assembly. The debates on the motions were lively and stimulating . it was heartening to note that young people were interested in Namibian, African and other international issues. A platform had been created to encourage, nurture and develop a culture for young people to be exposed to issues of national concern as well.

An interaction session was arraanged between the NCP children and children welfare officers. The children interacted with the officials with regard to violation of child rights and their contribution or response towards those issues. The officials did not deny the child rights violation in their area regarding child labor, child marriage, abortion etc. They said that they would take adequate steps to ensure the rights of children and to do justice to their work.

Three state level ministers emerging from ARUWYE animated NCPs during the state level convention. Mr. Subash from Keela Eral was elected financial minister, Ms. Manikkammal from Coimbatore was elected minister for the differently abled and Mr. Kannan from Ulagampatti was elected minister for Art and Culture. The ministers discussed issues regarding their department. Resolutions were made and new hope blossomed in them to carry on their works in their NCP areas afresh.
