A Joy-Filled Childhood is the Right of every Child

The Ambedhkar Neighbourhood children's Parliament is formed by the children of Ambedhkar Nagar at Tiruchi District. Ambedhkar Nagar is a colony given by government to dalit people. The children suffer due to poverty as their parents are coolie workers.

The NCP members identified two school dropouts Balakumar and Krishnan. The parents of both the boys are coolie workers. They earn meager wages. They had to take care of their family and their grandparents. Therfore the children were forced to discontinue their education. The issue was brought to the NCP meeting by the education minister. The NCP members discussed and passed a resolution to form a team to speak to the parents and also to the concerned Headmaster of the local government school.

Initially the parents fefused to send their children back to school because they wanted their children to work and earn money for their family. But the NCP team explained to them the importance of education and what would happen if they are not sending their children to school. Finally the parents acceped to send their children to school. The NCP members requested the headmaster to accept dropout children in the school. The headmaster of the school agreed to their request while at same time asking the NCP children are regular to school and are performing well in their studies.

Balakumar and Krishnan are grateful to their friends who had made their drea of studying in the school a reality. The Ambedkar NCP members are appy with their achievement and pledged themselves to work many wonders in their area and convert it into a happy place where everyone lived with contentment.
