PROFESSIONAL SOCIAL WORKERS DAY RUN
March 2nd week is professional social workers’ day week. It was celebrated by the professional social workers worldwide. As same in TamilNadu, Professional Social Workers’ Day was celebrated on Tuesday, 18th of March, 2014. On behalf of AUXILIUM ARUWYE Sr. Arokia Mary Selvi, Director; Mr. Maria Vasantha Kumar, Programme Coordinator participated in professional social workers day Run- 2014 and also AUXILIUM ARUYWE contributed caps to all the participants over there. It had taken place in Marina Beach, Chennai. There were 400 professional social workers and supporters who had participated in the Run. The PSWA Run-2014 was flagged off by Mr. Neville J. Bilimoria, renowned Marathon Runner. The Run started from Gandhi statue to Kannagi statue in Marina Beach. PSWA Secretary Prof. Andrew appreciated the increase in the number of participants which gave hope for better participation in the coming years.
The Run created a visibility for the Professional Social Workers and it was also a moment of coming together and strengthening our bonds to form a mighty force for the betterment of the society.
