Daan Utsav – Joy of Giving Week was celebrated by ARUWYE from 2 to 8 October 2026, engaging 1,192 children and teachers from 46 Evening Study Centres across nine districts: Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kanchipuram, Tiruvannamalai, Vellore, Salem, Erode, Yercaud, and Michaelpuram. The celebration focused on promoting kindness, generosity, social responsibility, and community participation through food distribution, knowledge sharing, tree plantation, feeding stray animals and birds, grocery support for needy families, and honouring sanitation workers. Children also participated in child safety and cancer awareness programmes, plastic-free awareness campaigns, beach clean-up activities, and community cleaning drives.
Through these initiatives, nearly 5,000 people benefited, including underprivileged families and community members. The activities encouraged children to practise compassion, respect community workers, care for animals, protect the environment, and support people in need. Daan Utsav provided meaningful opportunities for children to develop leadership, empathy, and civic responsibility through active community service. The initiative strengthened community bonds and reinforced ARUWYE’s commitment to nurturing responsible citizens and building a kinder, more inclusive, and caring society.
