Caregivers’ Well-being and Resilience Programme

On 10th October 2026, the YaR Sector organised a provincial-level special programme on Psychological Well-being and Resilience for sisters and teachers who care for children in boarding facilities, shelter homes and tuition centres. Held at Mazzarello Home, Tirupattur, the programme brought together 41 participants, with ARUWYE actively participating in this meaningful initiative.
Facilitated by Fr. Renigo Roy, SDB, Assistant Professor at Don Bosco College, Tirupattur. The sessions focused on understanding caregivers’ psychological well-being, recognising and managing stress, emotional fatigue and burnout, and understanding children’s emotional and behavioural needs. Personal reflection and sharing provided a supportive space for participants to express their challenges, identify their needs and explore practical strategies for self-care and resilience.

The programme concluded with an action plan to strengthen emotional well-being and promote healthy caregiving practices. It encouraged participants to continue their ministry with renewed patience, compassion, confidence and commitment, recognising that caring for caregivers is essential to nurturing happy, healthy and emotionally secure children.
