ARUWYE observed National Girl Child Day across its Evening Study Centres through awareness sessions and rallies focusing on the rights, education, safety, equality and empowerment of girls. The sessions encouraged children to understand the importance of providing equal opportunities and creating a safe and supportive environment for every girl. Children actively participated in discussions on education, health, safety, dignity and the prevention of discrimination. They shared their views and reflected on the importance of educating and empowering girls for the well being of families and communities.
As part of the observance, several centres organised rallies where children and teachers carried placards promoting girl child education, equality, safety and empowerment. The rallies helped extend the message to the wider community and encouraged greater awareness and support for the rights of girls. The programme strengthened children’s understanding of gender equality and encouraged them to promote a culture of respect, dignity, safety and equal opportunities for every girl.
