ARUWYE 22nd January 2026, conducted Anti-Human Trafficking (AHT) Community Awareness sessions at Moore and Otteri to educate community members about human trafficking, its types, and preventive measures. During the sessions, participants learned that human trafficking includes forced labour, sexual exploitation, child trafficking, and domestic servitude. The programme also provided practical guidance on how to prevent trafficking, such as staying vigilant about suspicious offers, reporting incidents immediately, and educating children and neighbours about potential risks. Women and youth actively participated, noting down safety tips and local complaint numbers for quick action, including 1098 (Childline), 181 (Women Helpline), and 112 (Emergency Services). The interactive sessions encouraged open discussions and reinforced the importance of community vigilance in safeguarding vulnerable individuals. Through these awareness programmes, ARUWYE continues its mission of building safer, stronger communities by empowering residents with knowledge and resources to prevent human trafficking.
