My name is Saraswathi, and I am 32 years old and a mother of two children. My family faced many financial difficulties, and my husband’s income was irregular. I always wanted to work, but I worried about who would take care of my children. Through a women’s group, I came to know about ARUWYE’s free tailoring training. I joined the training and learned stitching, cutting, children’s garment making, and other tailoring skills. With the encouragement of my trainers, I successfully completed the course. ARUWYE also supported me with a sewing machine, which helped me start my tailoring work from home. Slowly, I received orders from my neighbours and began earning an income. Today, I can contribute to my family’s expenses and support my children’s education. More importantly, I have gained confidence, dignity, and independence. This opportunity has given me the courage to believe in myself and build a better future for my children.
