My Journey of Empowerment:  A Story of Hope

My name is Anandhi, and I am 52 years old. Today, I want to share my journey of how I found hope through ARUWYE and the Sindhu Roja Women’s Self-Help Group. This is not just my story but the story of many women like me who, with the right support, can break free from poverty and build a better life for their families.

Before I found ARUWYE, my life was full of struggles. I worried about my children’s education and did not know how to improve our situation. Every day was a challenge, and the future looked uncertain.

Everything changed when I joined the Sindhu Roja Women’s Self-Help Group through ARUWYE. This group was more than just a place to meet other women—it gave me new opportunities and hope.

ARUWYE helped me find a job at Amma Mess, a community kitchen that provides affordable, healthy meals. This job gave me a steady income, which helped me support my children and take care of our needs. More importantly, it gave me confidence and purpose.

Through ARUWYE and the Sindhu Roja Women’s Self-Help Group, I also learned important skills, like managing money and cooking healthy food. These skills helped me do my job better and take control of my life. With ARUWYE’s help, my children also received educational support for a brighter future.

I am so thankful to ARUWYE for everything they have done for me. Without them, I would not have had this chance to change my life. They not only helped me support my family but also gave me the strength to believe in myself.

Today, I am a proud and independent woman. I will always be grateful to ARUWYE for giving me hope and a new beginning.
