I am Meera, a widow and a mother to my beloved daughter, and my greatest dream is to give her a secure and better future. Life has been challenging, but I never allowed my circumstances to discourage me. Through ARUWYE, I joined a tailoring training programme and gained valuable skills and confidence. I also became a member of a Women’s Self-Help Group, where I found encouragement, support, and hope. After completing my training, I worked in a tailoring shop and was able to support my daily needs and my daughter. Soon, I dreamed of having a business of my own and started taking tailoring orders from home. With determination, I gradually built a small customer base and increased my income. Later, I joined ARUWYE’s free jute bag-making training and learned new skills to create an additional source of livelihood. Today, I am confident that I can manage both garment stitching and jute bag orders and work towards a sustainable income. I am proud that, with courage and determination, I am building a better future for myself and my daughter.
